Artist’s post-facto note: This one didn’t come out at all like I expected or intended. There have been others that seemed to have human figures in them (or so I’ve been told) but none so much as this one I think. 

There’s an incredibly intense scene in Body Heat (well, all of it is quite intense actually) where the two main characters kiss for the first time. The artists Jennifer & Kevin McCoy created an electronic sculpture which was comprised of that scene, digitized and hooked up to external controls that allowed it to be looped and re-edited on the fly, causing the characters to look like they’re consuming, enveloping, and practically devouring each other endlessly. I can see suggestions of the same frenetic & desperate sort of embrace in this one.
Or maybe it’s just an octopus.
